Connects fast, logical std. size and key functions, keys type crisply, long usage time from battery, seems well constructed. Closing this keyboard upward activates the PC sleep function. (And it's at a better price, too!)Missing the odd stuff from my other, similar looking Surface BT keyboard: no shift|delete key combo needed, and missing the odd Bluetooth connection activation key combo needed. (There seems to be a bunch of these poorly thought out and more expensive keyboard clones out there, and they also lack the sleep function when closed up.)So, highly recommend this one from INATECK.

Good keyboard, the 7 colors of backlight is awesome. I would not buy a keyboard without backlight, and this one offers 7!This keyboard is compatible with the latest model Surface tablets. The Pro 9, 8 or even X.I would recommend this keyboard based on the cost, ease of use and perfect fitment.

A keyboard and trackpad/mouse are required for the Surface Pro in my opinion. I use mine as a full development workstation (Visual Studio Enterprise 2022, Powerpoint, Visio, Power Direction, Photoshop CS5, FL Studio, etc.).I got this Surface Pro keyboard for when I'm travelling with the t'laptop (tablet laptop...). I generally prefer a full sized BT keyboard and mouse, I keep that setup at my desk at home.Work great flat, has a little flex when in the raised position. I've never used the MS OEM keyboard, I'm not sure if that flexes the same.Easy to attach/remove. Pairing was easy. Color adjustment is easy. Keyboard is a standard shared F keys row with a FN lock. The Surface Pro doesn't autolock/sleep when keyboard is closed over the screen (I'm not sure if the MS keyboard would do this).I use a heavy duty Urban Armor Gear case and this keyboard fits and "completes" the safety setup by covering up the screen (there's also a tempered glass protector of course...).

This Inateck keyboard is a good addition to my Surface 8, and less expensive than the name brand Keyboard.The keys have as solid a feel as a "chiclet" style keyboard can, and it's easy to type. The palm rejection is just enough to keep me from moving the mouse all over the screen while writing my latest articles- (thank goodness). The mouse pointer tracks well and naturally with the pad under the keyboard. Right and left mouseclick are one either side, as they should be.I was able to connect via "quick connect" by turning on the keyboard and pressing Function and Del Keys at the same time. That worked not only with the Surface, but with all my laptops as well. I was even able to connect my tablets to it- so, it will pull double duty.This keyboard so very, very light in hand, and the keys are normal size and spacing. The keys have a soft backlight. When you tip the keyboard up, you can see the LED's under the keys, but that didn't bother me. The magnets are strong enough to hold the keyboard up at angle, so you won't actually see those LED traces much while you work.Quick connectivity, able to work the Surface disconnected from it (great when you're casting to a TV or such), and also versatile enough to use with your other bluetooth enabled laptops. Charge has lasted through 8 hours of testing and use on different computers so far, so I'm encouraged- I thought a battery in a keyboard that light would give up quicker.This keyboard worked well for me, and has much to recommend it. I enjoyed typing my review on it!

The top edge and back are covered with an "Alcantara-like" fabric that feels similar to the factory Microsoft keyboard, slightly darker than my Microsoft platinum cover as shown in pics. The key feel is very similar, a slight difference in the arrow key layout. The trackpad on this unit is slightly bigger than the Microsoft keyboard, but not quite as solid, with a very small amount of movement when pressed. Though not an issue for me, it doesn't seem to have magnets to hold it closed like the Microsoft one.I like the choice of LED colors, where as the Microsoft keyboard is only white. Bluetooth is nice, being able to disconnect the keyboard physically and still use it. You can't change BIOS settings though via bluetooth however. Not having a fabric-covered palm rest means I can use this when referencing materials for a messy project and not worry about it get it dirty or stained

If you own a surface pro and you don't already have a type cover this is an absolute no brainer.I have a type cover that came with my surface and I still absolutely love this. The reason is it connects via bluetooth and not the pins on the bottom. It does slot into the bottom just like the oem type cover and securely connects magnetically to cover and protect the screen but the actual connection to the tablet is via bluetooth.With this set up I am able to have all the protection of a type cover with the added functionality of a bluetooth keyboard. I can disconnect and use from across a room while adding zero extra bulk. As someone that travels weekly this is perfect versatility. I use it often in hotel rooms to mirror my screen to the TV and have the ability to use/control my tablet from another part of the room (like a remote control in the case of watching video).The keyboard itself has performed very well. The touchpad has performed as expected. The keys feel similar to oem when typing and I am typing this review on it. It has function keys to control most if not all the same things as the official cover (volume, brightness, etc). It is also is backlit and can be cycled between 7 different colors and three different brightnesses. The keyboard includes a small on/off slider switch on the right edge and a usb c port for charging. I can't speak to exact battery life but it has been in moderate use for the past week and still indicates 3/4 battery from its initial full charge.In summary, this is a perfect solution for my use case. I had tried other folding bluetooth keyboards for travel and all had major performance issues in addition to taking extra space. This has performed flawlessly while sliding perfectly into the space of the original type cover.
